Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated October 31, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and DataProof ("we", "us"). When you use DataProof you are contracting with DataProof. By continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.
The service
DataProof evaluates AI training-data vendors. It gathers public evidence, screens samples you choose to provide, produces an evidence report and score, and can submit the report for an independent review through Reppo's prediction market. Scores measure the strength of available evidence. They are not a guarantee of a vendor's data quality, and they are not legal, financial or procurement advice.
Your account
- You must be of legal age and, if you use DataProof for an organization, have authority to bind it.
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse DataProof. In particular you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or for spam;
- upload content you have no right to share, or infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- interfere with the service's security, including introducing malware, probing or scanning for vulnerabilities, or scraping;
- reverse engineer the service, resell it, or get around usage limits.
AI-generated output
- Reports, scores and sample screenings are produced with automated and AI systems and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check them before relying on them, and do not use them as the only basis for regulated professional decisions.
- You are responsible for what you submit, including vendor samples, and for having the right to submit it. Do not submit personal data unless you are allowed to.
- You own the content you submit. You give us a limited licence to host and process it only to provide the service. You may use the outputs you receive.
- We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts that break these terms. Rights-holders can report infringing content to support@dataproof.dev; repeated infringement leads to account termination.
Our intellectual property
We own DataProof, including its software, documentation, design and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.
Availability
We work to keep DataProof running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Reviews that rely on third-party services such as Reppo can be delayed.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, stored sample files are deleted, and you can ask us to delete your account data.
Disclaimers and liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or goodwill.
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
- You will indemnify us for claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these terms.
General
You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the new date above. Questions: support@dataproof.dev.
